French independant label started in 2015 and led by Cheb Gero. Akuphone focus on rare global pop and folk music from the early 1950's to the late 1990's. It offers extended reissues, original compilations based on solid and documented works. Since 2017, akuphone also produces contemporary artists and unpublished recordings.
